COLUMBIA — A man with a gun robbed the Casey’s General Store at 3009 Paris Road on Monday night.

Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Jill Wieneke said the suspect approached the clerk at the counter and ordered her to be quiet and fill a bag with money. The suspect lifted his shirt to reveal a black semiautomatic handgun in his pocket.

After the clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of money, he left the store. There were no injuries and no damage to the store. Officers were dispatched at 8:50 p.m.

The perpetrator was described as a light-skinned black male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 pounds, with acne scars or bumps on his face.

The suspect was wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans, a camouflage-print hat and black athletic shoes at the time of the robbery.
