MU women's cross country finishes sixth in Louisville

Saturday, October 2, 2010 | 6:00 p.m. CDT

 The Missouri women's cross country team finished sixth out of 35 teams at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic Saturday at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville. The men's team finished 17th out of 38 teams.

Three women runners finished in the top 20 of the 5K, including sophomore Bailey Belvis at 10th with a time of 17:23.45. Senior Kinsey Farren was 16th with a time of 17:31.13 and junior Laura Roxberg took 20th at  17:38.00. 

Sophomore Max Storms was Missouri's top finisher on the men's side, placing 50th in the 8K race with a time of 24:43.00. 

The teams compete at the Bradley Classic on Oct. 15 in Peoria, Il.
