Columbia College volleyball picks up pair of victories

Saturday, October 2, 2010 | 6:40 p.m. CDT

Columbia College volleyball beat Baker (Kan.) University (28-26, 25-20, 25-21) and Lindenwood University (25-13, 25-21, 25-17) Saturday in St. Charles to improve to 18-2 overall.

Junior outside hitter Vesna Trivunovic led the Cougars with 14 kills against Baker and sophomore setter Paula Ferreira had 36 assists.

Against Lindenwood, Trivunovic had 16 kills and junior outside hitter Serena Jenkins had 19 digs. 

The Cougars play at 7 p.m on Oct. 5 at Park University.
