JEFFERSON CITY — Time is running out for Missourians to register to vote in the Nov. 2 elections.
The voter registration deadline for the general election is Wednesday. That means applications must be postmarked no later than that date.
Missouri residents can register to vote in person at their local election offices. Or they may download a voter registration form at GoVoteMissouri.com and mail it to their local election authorities.
The Missouri secretary of state's office says many people typically miss the cutoff. It cites U.S. Census Bureau figures estimating more than 5 million voters nationwide did not cast ballots in November 2006 because they missed their states' registration deadline.
