Columbia Multisport Club wins national championship

COLUMBIA — The Columbia Multisport Club won the Division I United States Association for Triathletes national championship last Saturday at Myrtle Beach, S.C.

It is the fifth time in seven years the Columbia club has won the competition, which regularly includes teams from clubs in New York City, Washington D.C., and Florida.


Out of the 90 members from Columbia that went to to Myrtle Beach, 63 finished among the top 10 in their age divisions. Competitors ranged in age from 16 to 67. In the sprint distance, Kimberly Earnest was the fastest overall woman in the event.
