Columbia College soccer team drops road game

Wednesday, October 6, 2010 | 11:32 p.m. CDT

The Columbia College soccer team lost 1-0 to McKendree on Wednesday night in an American Midwest Conference game in Lebanon, Ill.

Both teams remained scoreless until the 70th minute when McKendree’s Tom Ward netted the winner for the Bearcats. Ken Searles took the loss in goal for the Cougars with four saves. Columbia College falls to 6-4-0 and 2-1 in AMC play.

Columbia College plays next at 7 p.m. Saturday at Missouri Valley College in Marshall.
