KANSAS CITY — A northwest Missouri man who pleaded guilty last year to running a prostitution ring with young girls in Kansas City and Overland Park, Kan., has been sentenced to nearly 22 years in federal prison.

Randal Jennings of Chillicothe pleaded guilty last year to one count of child sex trafficking. He was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Kansas City to 21 years, 10 months.

Prosecutors say the 43-year-old had four working prostitutes either 16 or 17 years old when he was arrested in January 2009.

Jennings admitted recruiting the girls to motel rooms, where he took sexually explicit photos and advertised the girls for sexual services in ads on Internet sites.

Jennings was arrested during an undercover prostitution sting at a Johnson County, Kan., motel.
