Rock Bridge softball wins district semifinal

The Rock Bridge softball team defeated Jefferson City 9-2 on Thursday in a semifinal game of the Class 4, District 9 tournament at Legion Field in Jefferson City.

Junior pitcher Lauren Fuller improved to 15-2 and hit a home run in the second inning. Senior Brianne Bond also hit a home run. The Bruins led throughout the game.

Top seed Rock Bridge (18-2) advances to the title game against No. 2 seed Helias (19-2) at 6 p.m. Friday.
