COLUMBIA — The murder trials of an Audrain County man and his 20-year-old son who are accused of killing a man in December will be heard in Boone County.

Chester Clay Harvey Jr. of Laddonia and his son Chad Harvey of Eolia are accused of kidnapping James William Boyd McNeely near his Farber home and killing him.

Each is charged with first-degree murder. They each also have a trial date set for Nov. 16 in Boone County circuit court.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney Jacob Shellabarger has not requested a dual trial, which means one of the jury trials will be rescheduled.

Chester Harvey's wife, 35-year-old Angela Harvey, is also charged with first-degree murder. Her case remains in Audrain County Circuit Court.
