COLUMBIA—Installation of a sewer manhole at the intersection of North Garth and Phyllis Avenue may cause traffic delays during the day Wednesday and Thursday.

The sewer work will start at 7 a.m. Wednesday and should be completed by 4 p.m. Thursday if there are no weather-related delays, according to a news release from the Columbia Public Works Department. If it is delayed, it will be rescheduled for Thursday and Friday.

One of the two traffic lanes will be available, and the Public Works Department asks drivers to use extreme caution in the area and to use other roads when possible.
