COLUMBIA — Columbia College defeated Harris-Stowe State on Monday in dominating fashion, 25-12, 25-12, 25-8.

The Cougars (22-2, 8-0 AMC) used their normal starters for Game 1 of the match, but after they won easily, coach Melinda Wrye-Washington gave her backups some playing time, as she normally does against Harris-Stowe State.

The Hornets only had one player available to give their six starters a breather, so the Cougars wore them down easily.

The Cougars moved to 22-2 and 8-0 in American Midwest Conference play.
