Rock Bridge softball team loses in state quarterfinals

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge softball team lost 8-6 to Webb City in a Class 4 state quarterfinal game Saturday in Columbia.

Rock Bridge freshman Breanna Logan pitched 6 1/3 innings,  relieving starter Lauren Fuller in the first inning after the Cardinals jumped to an early 3-0 lead. Logan struck out three and walked two.

The Bruins finished their season at 28-4. They won their first Class 4, District 9 title this season.
