The Rock Bridge girls golf team finished fourth Tuesday at the Class 2 state tournament at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, Mo.
Bruins senior Meghan Mueller finished second individually with a 2-day score of 9-over 151, placing her only three strokes behind individual champion Joni Purvis of Camdenton.
The Bruins team score of 346 on the second day of competition was two strokes worse than their score of 344 on Monday.
Rock Bridge finished 70 strokes behind champion Notre Dame de Sion, but only 11 strokes behind second-place Ursuline Academy. St. Joseph's Academy (688) was third.
After shooting a solid 6-over 77 on Monday, sophomore Kaitlyn Marsh struggled on Tuesday, carding a 15-over 86 to place her in a tie for 17th individually.
Junior Morgan Reimler improved on her Monday score of 97 by posting a 89 on Tuesday which boosted her to 54th.
Sophomores Makayla Baker (195, tied for 66th) and Angie Kern (197, tied for 73rd) also contributed.
