Rock Bridge falls to Blue Springs South
Friday, October 22, 2010 | 10:18 p.m. CDT
The Rock Bridge Bruins came up short in their second district game of the season, falling on the road to Blue Springs South 51-28.
The teams were tied 7-7 early on, but the Jaguars were able to pull away late in the first half, jumping out to a 31-7 lead.
Senior Mark Pickerel was unable to play quarterback, his usual position, because of a bruised right shoulder he suffered in last week's win over Liberty. Bo Bell started in his place, throwing for over 250 yards while Pickerel played receiver and running back in the contest and scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Rock Bridge finishes its regular season next Friday at Blue Springs.
