COLUMBIA — A country music disc jockey and 2003 Missouri graduate is the new public address announcer for the Tiger men's basketball team.

Aric Bremer replaces longtime basketball announcer Randy Wright, a former local TV executive who moved to Florida.

Bremer is a Sedalia native and 11-year Columbia resident. He's an afternoon radio DJ on KCMQ-FM, known as Country Clear 99.

Bremer was set to make his debut on the Mizzou Arena microphone Thursday at the annual Black and Gold intrasquad game.
