FULTON — Court records show that one of the three people killed in a mid-Missouri shooting had stored a lawn mower allegedly stolen by the man police are seeking in the slayings.
The records provide a direct link between Eugene Pinet, who died in a shooting Wednesday, and Joshua William Maylee, whom police are hunting in connection with that death and two others.
Court documents show Maylee already was facing two theft charges. A police probable cause statement says Maylee had previously taken a stolen lawn mower to Pinet's home, near Holts Summit. It is not clear from court documents whether Pinet knew the mower was stolen.
Jeffrey Werdehausen and Jackie Pinet were also killed in the shootings.
