Victim of Callaway County shooting released from hospital

COLUMBIA — The survivor of a shooting last week in Callaway County was released from the hospital Monday.

Gina Werdehausen, 41, was released from University Hospital on Monday after receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the neck, a hospital spokesperson said.

Werdehausen’s husband, Jeffrey Werdehausen, 46, of Holts Summit; Eugene Pinet, 48; and Jackie Pinet, 57, were killed in the shooting, according to a previous Missourian report.

Joshua W. Maylee, 23, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder for the deaths, according to a previous Missourian report.
