Police find missing 13-year-old boy walking along I-70

COLUMBIA — Police located a 13-year-old missing Columbia boy at about 12:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Jacob Taylor, who was reported as a runaway by his family on Tuesday, was found walking along eastbound Interstate 70 near the exit for Lake of the Woods Road, according to a Columbia Police Department press release.

Police said officers immediately responded after receiving a phone call from a resident who spotted Jacob walking alone down the interstate, according to the release.

Police said Jacob was transported directly to a hospital as a precautionary measure.
