COLUMBIA — The Mizzou men’s Ultimate club team will be hosting “Missouri Loves Company” this weekend, a two-day, 56-team tournament starting on Saturday and concluding Sunday.

The tournament will consist of a 40-team open division and a 16-team women’s division for college age players, with teams coming from states such as Minnesota, Ohio and Arkansas, among others.

The tournament, which was held in Jefferson City last year, will take place at Cosmopolitan Park in Columbia this year.

This isn’t the first time the tournament has been held in Columbia, but it is the first time the tournament will be held at the expansive Cosmopolitan Park, which has 24 regulation size fields available for play, tournament director Nathaniel Mahieu said.

Play will start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday. The championship matches are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday on fields 15 through 18.

The tournament is open to the public. More information about the tournament is available at the Mizzou Men’s Ultimate website.
