ST. LOUIS — The search continues for two federal prisoners who escaped from an eastern Missouri jail.
John Wesley Jones and Corey Durand Cross bolted Monday from the Lincoln County lockup northwest of St. Louis in Troy by climbing to the jail's roof before scaling down a 30-foot wall.
Both men had been jailed there without bond on weapons charges, though Cross also was facing drug-related counts.
Jones has been named a suspect in the potentially multimillion-dollar August heist of an ATM-servicing business in St. Louis, though he has not been charged in the holdup.
