COLUMBIA — The Missouri volleyball team lost for the first time in almost a month, falling 25-15, 25-20, 25-17 at Texas on Wednesday night.

The Tigers (19-9, 11-7) had won six matches in a row but matched up against a No. 8 Longhorns team that carried an 11-match winning streak into Wednesday's contest. Missouri's last loss was Oct. 23 against Nebraska.

Julianna Klein led the Tigers with nine kills. The loss is Missouri's seventh-straight regular season defeat against Texas (20-5, 15-2), a streak that dates back to 2006.

Missouri plays Saturday at Baylor and wraps up the regular season Wednesday when Oklahoma comes to Columbia.
