Columbia College men's basketball team moves to 5-1

COLUMBIA — The Columbia Cougar men's basketball team defeated Missouri Valley 69-45 on Tuesday night at the Arena of Southwell Complex.

Devin Griffin led the Cougars (5-1) with 14 points and five steals, while Jaron Strickland and Darnell Moore each scored 11 and Jordan Dressler had 10 points. Moore also finished with eight rebounds and five steals.

Missouri Valley (4-4) gave up the ball 35 times and Columbia College scored 35 points off turnovers.    

Columbia College hosts the Thanksgiving Classic on Friday and Saturday. The Cougars play Central Bible (Mo.) College at 8 p.m Friday and then play Northwestern Oklahoma at 3 p.m Saturday.
