Columbia College women's basketball nets home victory

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College women's basketball team beat Loyola (La.) University 73-59 on Saturday night at the Arena of Southwell Complex.

Denise Rosario's 16 points led four Cougars players in double figures. Janita Session added 15 points, Kayla Rice scored 12 and Heather English had 10. Amanda Phillips blocked five shots and had nine rebounds. Columbia College collected 12 points off Loyola’s 15 turnovers.

The Cougars (4-3) play next at 7 p.m. Monday at Benedictine (Kan.) University in Atchison, Kan.
