COLUMBIA —One of two suspects in a summer robbery at Gatehouse Apartments is being held at the Boone County Jail.

On July 29, two men approached a car in the Gatehouse Apartments parking lot, and one of the men displayed a handgun, Columbia Police Department Public Information Officer Jill Wieneke said. They took a purse, stereo and cell phone, although the purse was recovered near the car. At the time, neither suspect was identified.

Jacob A. Lambert was charged with first-degree robbery. He was arrested on other warrants Oct. 8, and has been in the Boone County Jail since.

Police linked Lambert and another suspect to the Gatehouse Apartments robbery in mid-September through a cell phone taken during the robbery, Wieneke said.

Police are still looking for the second suspect, 25-year-old Jeremiah E. Brown, who is wanted on a charge of first-degree robbery.
