JEFFERSON CITY — Authorities in central Missouri say more than 20 recent daytime burglaries might be connected.

A task force has been formed to investigate the burglaries in Cole, Boone, Moniteau, Randolph, Chariton, Howard, Saline and Cooper counties.

Cole County Sheriff Greg White said the burglaries started in mid-November with break-ins in the Jefferson City area. Electronics and some weapons were taken in those burglaries.

The Jefferson City News-Tribune reported Thursday that Chariton County Sheriff Chris Hughes says the suspects have kicked in doors in his county, then pulled a vehicle into an attached garage to load stolen items.
