Columbia College men's basketball falls to No. 1 Robert Morris

The Columbia College men's basketball team had its seven-game winning streak snapped on Saturday in Chicago, losing 76-66 to Robert Morris, the top-ranked team in the NAIA.

Columbia College (9-2) led Robert Morris by three points with 10 minutes left in the second half, but the Eagles (10-0) pulled away late.

The Cougars struggled with free throws and turnovers, shooting 12-for-23 from the line while turning the ball over 21 times.

Eagles senior forward Reggie Bunch scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and had 12 rebounds.

Columbia College spread their offense around with 12 points from senior forward Greg Stegeman, 11 points from freshman guard Wendell Crowder and 10 points from senior forward Jaron Strickland.

The Cougars play next against Benedictine at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Arena at Southwell Complex.
