  • 5-6 p.m. Friday, Columbia Mall, 2300 Bernadette Drive: Story Time with Mrs. Claus; children visiting Santa will be read holiday stories by Mrs. Claus.
  • 5:30-9 p.m. Saturday, Evangelical Free Church, 600 Silvey St.: Christmas in the Square; square dancing, music, a hog roast and pie contest.
  • 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Columbia Art League, 207 S. 9th St.: Give a Gift of Art; art-selling show encouraging people to give art as a gift for the holidays.
  • 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Douglass Park Neighborhood: Christmas Lights Competition; the Douglass Park area will judge the Christmas light displays around the neighborhood.

Next Week

  • 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 20, Rainbow House, 1611 Towne Dr.: Tummies to Toes Holiday Drive; collecting diapers, formula and new shoes for Rainbow House charities.
  • 2-8 p.m. Dec. 23, Columbia Mall, 2300 Bernadette Drive: Relay for Life Gift Wrapping Station; have your gift wrapped by volunteers with all donations going to Relay for Life.
  • 11 a.m. Dec. 25, Holiday Inn Executive Center: Holiday Inn Christmas Buffet; adults $22, senior citizens $20, children 4-12 $9, children 3 and under are free.
  • Dec. 25: Christmas Day 
  • 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dec. 26, United Methodist Church, 702 Wilkes Blvd.: Free Last Sunday Supper; free dinner provided by the church, open to community.
  • Dec. 26: Kwanzaa begins.
