Hickman girls win the weekend at home

COLUMBIA — The Hickman girls basketball team ran its record to 6-3 after stopping Southwest High School (Kansas City) on Saturday and Staley High School on Friday.

Aqua Corpening scored a team-high 23 points in Hickman's  66-33 win over Kansas City Southwest on Saturday. Andrea Drake and Cherish Walton each added 10 points for the Kewpies.

In Friday's game, Corpening had 18 points in Hickman's 52-40 win over Staley High School.

The Kewpies play Jefferson City on Tuesday at Hickman.
