Strong performances from wrestlers in the lighter weight classes set the tone for the No. 18 Missouri wrestling team.

The Tigers (8-4) used this early momentum to sweep through Eastern Michigan and Indiana at the Indiana Duals on Sunday afternoon, earning team victories of 32-6 against Eastern Michigan and 26-12 against Indiana.

Alan Waters, the undefeated 125-pound freshman, started things off with a 15-5 major decision against Eastern Michigan and 12-6 decision against Indiana.

Missouri's Nathan McCormick (133 pounds) won his first match by forfeit and then beat Matt Ortega of Indiana by technical fall.

Todd Schavrien (141 pounds) kept Missouri's early successes going against Eastern Michigan, making 15-0 as he won by technical fall against Mike Leholm. Against Indiana, he made it 14-0 when he picked up a defensive pin at the 4:50 mark against Mitchell Richey.

Missouri's Zach Toal (165 pounds), Mike Larson (184 pounds) and Dom Bradley (heavyweight) also won both their matches.
