Rock Bridge boys basketball team cruises

The Rock Bridge boys basketball team ran past Fort Osage 78-46 on Monday night at the William Jewell tournament to improve to 7-1 this season.

Junior guard Will Echelmeier had 24 points and four rebounds, and Manuale Watkins scored 19 points and grabbed another four rebounds, while Travis Jorgenson had seven assists for the Bruins, who led 44-16 at halftime.

Rock Bridge is set to play Lee's Summit at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the semifinals of the tournament.
