Rock Bridge boys basketball team shuts down Lee's Summit

The Rock Bridge boys basketball team used tough defense to earn a 65-42 victory on Thursday night at Lee's Summit.

The Tigers, who had been averaging 78 points a game entering the contest, could not put one player in double figure against the Bruins (9-3).

Will Echelmeier led Rock Bridge with 18 points, and Matt Kelly scored 15. Travis Jorgenson had six points and six assists, and Karon Hayes grabbed nine rebounds.

The Bruins outscored Lee's Summit 34-14 in the second and third quarters, leading by 11 at halftime, then by 23 after the third.
