Columbia College women's basketball defeats Missouri Baptist

The Columbia College women's basketball team defeated Missouri Baptist 85-66 Tuesday night.

Senior guard Janita Session led the Cougars with 19 points.

Four other Cougars scored in double digits: Heather English with 17 points, Kayla Rice with 13 points, Julie Teeple with 13 points and Ashley Fisher with 11.

The Cougars led 43-35 at halftime. During the game, the Cougars shot 51 percent from the field and went 11-for-20 (55 percent) from beyond the arc. 

The Cougars improved their overall record to 15-5 (6-0 in the American Midwest Conference). They will play host to Harris-Stowe Thursday in another AMC battle.
