Columbia College men's basketball team defeats Missouri Baptist 72-66

The Columbia College men's basketball team defeated Missouri Baptist 72-66 on Tuesday night.

Despite trailing 35-34 at halftime and trailing for much of the second half, the Cougars were able to tie the game at 66 with a 3-pointer by Henrique Medeiros.

The Cougars finished the game with six free throws to take the lead and hold on to victory.

Greg Stegeman led the Cougars with 16 points, Wendell Crowder had 11 points, and Medeiros added 10.

With the win, the Cougars improved to 17-3 on the season (4-1 in the American Midwest Conference).

The Cougars will play another conference opponent on Thursday night, when Harris-Stowe State University visits Columbia.
