COLUMBIA — The National Weather Service of St. Louis is watching a storm system that could arrive Monday in Columbia.
“It’s still too early to determine the exact path of the storm,” said Melissa Byrd, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service of St. Louis. “That would determine the exact kind of precipitation we would get.”
Byrd said if the storm goes north, away from St. Louis and Columbia, residents might be looking at a mix of sleet and ice. If the storm steers south, toward St. Louis and Columbia, snow is more likely to occur.
“We’re just giving everyone an early warning of the possibility of snow, but it’s still too early to tell,” Byrd said.
