Missouri gymnastics team finishes last in Fort Worth

Against three nationally ranked gymnastics teams, Missouri finished fourth Saturday at the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.
Sixth-ranked Alabama won the event with 196.825 points, followed in second by No. 10 Nebraska with 195.650 points, and No. 25 LSU finished third with 195.550 points.
The Tigers finished in last with 193.400 points. However, junior Mary Burke scored 9.875 points on the beam, which was tied for third in the competition and matched Burke's personal best.
The Tigers will face the Cornhuskers again next weekend in a dual meet at the Hearnes Center. The meet will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
