COLUMBIA — The 16th-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers wrestling team edged No. 7 Missouri 17-16 on Sunday afternoon at Hearnes Center.
After jumping out to a 10-3 lead, the Tigers couldn't hold off the Cornhuskers.
The turning point of the match came when Jordan Burroughs, the nation's top wrestler at 165 pounds, dominated Missouri's Zach Toal. The match put Nebraska ahead 11-10.
Missouri's Dorian Henderson won the next match, but that was followed with losses by Mike Larson and Brent Haynes.
Heavyweight Dom Bradley won the final match of the day against Nebraska's Tucker Lane, but it wasn't enough to give the Tigers a victory.
On Friday, the Tigers travel to Stillwater, Okla., to take on No. 5 Oklahoma State.
