COLUMBIA — An MU student was robbed at gunpoint at 2 a.m. today near the intersection of Rollins Street and East Campus Drive.

The 21-year-old female student was walking alone along Rollins Street when two men stepped out of a white four-door vehicle, said Captain Scott Richardson, MU Police Department public information officer. The men put on dark-colored masks and stole her cell phone and her friend’s cell phone and wallet, which she had been holding.

The student said the first suspect was a white male in his early 20s, standing about 5’6 to 5’8 feet tall with a medium stocky build, a half-inch thick necklace tattoo and very short blond hair.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, standing 5’4 to 5’8 feet tall with a skinny build. Both suspects wore dark sweatshirts, dark pants and masks over their faces.

Anyone with information about the crime can contact Detective Sam Easley at 884-3721 or CRIME STOPPERS at 875-8477.
