Missouri gymnast Mary Burke earns more Big 12 honors

COLUMBIA — For the third time this season, Missouri junior Mary Burke was honored as the Big 12 Conference Gymnast of the Week.
Burke won her fourth-career all-around title by scoring a career-high 39.450 points in last Friday's loss to Nebraska
On her way to the all-around title, Burke scored 9.875 points to win the uneven bars and a season-high 9.9 points on the floor exercise to tie for first with Missouri sophomore Lauren Swankoski.
Burke is currently ranked No. 3 in the Big 12 in the all-around and the balance beam. This was the fourth time she was named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week in her career.
The Tigers will host Illinois at 6:30 p.m. this Friday at Hearnes Center in their annual Pink Out event to support breast cancer research.
