SPRINGFIELD — Springfield police said a 31-year-old woman died when her vehicle went off a snowy road in Springfield.

A 4-year-old and 6-year-old who were with the woman during Wednesday's accident were taken to a Springfield hospital with minor injuries. The woman's name was not released.

Police say the woman lost control of her vehicle after passing another car. It landed on all four wheels in a ditch, but there was extensive damage to the roof.

Police Sgt. Tom Royal said road conditions were a factor in the accident.
