Rock Bridge boys basketball team strolls to win over Springfield Central

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge boys basketball team scored the first 21 points of Tuesday's game and beat visiting Springfield Central 84-28.
Manuale Watkins scored 17 points, and Karon Hayes added 16 points and eight rebounds. Will Echelmeier also scored in double figures with 12 points.
Rock Bridge coach Jim Scanlon said he liked that his team played with its usual intensity.
"We played our game instead of against an opponent," he said. "We played hard, and we played to get better."
Travis Jorgenson led Rock Bridge (16-4) with six assists and three steals. The Bruins host Jefferson City (10-10) on Thursday and Hogan Prep, the top-ranked team in Class 3, on Friday.
