Stephens College women's basketball loses to William Woods

The Stephens College women's basketball team lost to William Woods University 70-37 on Saturday in Fulton, its 17th-straight loss.

The Stars are now 3-22 and 0-13 in the American Midwest Conference.

Forward Megan Sheffield led the team with 13 points and nine rebounds. Guard Danielle Caldwell had 10 points.

Stephens will play a make-up game against Harris-Stowe State University at 6 p.m. Monday, hosts Hannibal-LaGrange at 7 p.m. Tuesday before finishing the year at 7 p.m. Thursday at home against Park University.
