Columbia College women's basketball team wins at Williams Baptist

The Columbia College women’s basketball team defeated Williams Baptist 83-58 on Tuesday in Walnut Ridge, Ark., to improve to 23-5 and 14-0 in the American Midwest Conference.
Kayla Rice and Heather English led the Cougars, No. 15 in the NAIA, with 16 points and five assists apiece. Janita Session scored 13, while Amanda Phillips had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cougars Ashley Fisher was named the AMC Player of the Week after averaging 20 points and eight rebounds in victories over Hannibal-LaGrange and Missouri Baptist.
Columbia College play next against Harris-Stowe at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Louis. The Cougars beat the Hornets 95-48 on Jan. 27 in their first meeting of the season.
