Free throws bolster Columbia College men's basketball team

The Columbia College men's basketball team made all 12 of its free-throw attempts in the last minute to beat Williams Baptist 81-70 on Monday in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
Henrique Medeiros led the Cougars, No. 19 in the NAIA, with 21 points. Greg Stegeman scored 13, Jordan Dressler and Jaron Strickland had 12 apiece and Taylor Evans had 10. Columbia College (23-4, 10-3 in the American Midwest Conference) shot 80 percent from the free-throw line.
Columbia College plays next against Harris-Stowe at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Louis. The Cougars beat the Hornets 74-53 on Jan. 27 in their first meeting of the season.
