The Missouri men's golf team won its season-opening tournament by 25 shots on Tuesday at a three-round event in Chandler, Ariz.
The Tigers were the only team to finish under par and shot 280-280-281—841 to finish 23-under-par for the tournament.
Freshman Emilio Cuartero won the event at 10-under-par (71-65-70—206), and tied for the low round of the tournament with his second-round 65.
Missouri senior William Harrold finished second at 5-under-par and was the only golfer with two rounds in the 60s, 65-77-69—211.
Sophomore Stuart Ballingall rounded out a top-three sweep for the Tigers. Ballingall finished at 4-under-par, 72-71-69—212.
The event was played at Whirlwind Golf Course, a par-72, 7,163-yard course, in Chandler.
The Tigers next tournament is at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Las Vegas on March 14 and 15.
