FULTON — A preliminary hearing for the suspect in a central Missouri triple murder will be held in April.
The hearing for Joshua Maylee of Holts Summit, who is charged with three counts of first-degree murder, was scheduled for Tuesday but was rescheduled for April 22.
Maylee is accused of killing Eugene and Jackie Pinet at their home and Jeffrey Werdehausen at his home, all in Callaway County, on Oct. 26. He is also charged with shooting Werdehausen's wife, who survived.
Callaway County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Casey Clevenger asked for the delay because a crucial witness wasn't able to attend Tuesday's hearing.
The Fulton Sun reports Maylee is being represented by two public defenders from Columbia who specialize in first-degree murder cases.
