The Columbia College women's basketball team pushed its American Midwest Conference record to 15-0 on Thursday with a 72-50 victory over Harris-Stowe State in St. Louis.
Freshman Ashley Fisher's 27 points, including 21 points from 3-point range, led the Cougars (24-5). Fisher also had nine rebounds. Amanda Phillips finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds and added four blocks.
Columbia College, ranked 15th in the NAIA, is set to play William Woods at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Arena of Southwell Complex. The Owls beat Missouri Baptist 82-68 on Thursday to improve to 14-1.
A victory for Columbia College in its final game of the regular season would give the Cougars the No. 1 seed in the AMC Tournament. The Cougars defeated the Owls 71-55 on Jan. 29 in Fulton.
