About 2.6 inches of snow fell in Columbia on Thursday. Columbia Public Schools made the decision to cancel Friday's classes.

A snowfall that hit Columbia Thursday afternoon left Columbia Public Schools with an unexpected snow day and Friday out of class.
A snow-covered Stephens Lake Park remains untouched by park goers early Friday morning.
