LETTER: Right to Work will help workers, bring jobs

Monday, March 14, 2011 | 12:37 p.m. CDT; updated 8:32 p.m. CDT, Monday, March 14, 2011

A right-to-work law isn't about eliminating unions or any other myth out there. Its sole purpose is putting Missouri residents back to work.

A right-to-work law gives workers the option to work without being forced to join a union. This will help create a more friendly business climate in which people are looking to build new locations and hire workers to run them.

Currently, a right-to-work bill is in the Missouri Senate. Please encourage all senators to vote yes on right-to-work and get Missouri residents back to work. For more information, go to www.missouririghttowork.com.

Also, look into attending the informational sessions hosted by Mark Mix, president of the National Right to Work Legal Foundations.

Jeff Thomas lives in Columbia.
