Rock Bridge 4-H Club to hold electronics recycling drive

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge 4-H Club will be collecting unwanted electronics this weekend for its Electronics Recycling Community Service Project.

Electronic items handed over to the organization will be taken to Mid-MO Recycling for proper disposal. The equipment does not need to be in working condition, and all personal information should be removed from the items prior to dropoff.

The electronics will be collected in Rock Bridge Elementary’s parking lot, 5151 S. Highway 163, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Acceptable items to recycle for free are:

  • Keyboards.
  • Mice.
  • Laptops.
  • Wires.
  • Central processing units (CPUs).
  • Cell phones.
  • Printers.
  • Fax machines.
  • Stereos.

Items that can be dropped off with a fee include:

  • Computer monitors ($5 each).
  • Televisions ($10 each).
  • Microwaves ($5 each).
  • Copiers ($5 each).
