MU men's golf wins second-straight tournament

COLUMBIA — The Missouri men's golf team won the 2011 Jackrabbit Invitational at 37-under-par on Tuesday in Primm, NV. The Tigers shot a 6-under-par 282 in the final round to beat Idaho by one shot.

Missouri took the top two spots in the individual standings. Sophomore Jace Long shot 63-69-67--199 in the three-round event, two shots ahead of teammate Stuart Ballingall. Ballingall, a sophomore, had the low round of the tournament with a first-round 62.

Drake's Ben Freeman and Idaho's Matt Rawitzer tied for third, shooting 204.

Missouri returns to action March 28-29 at the UA-LR First Tee Classic in Little Rock, Ark, where they have won the past two times.
